NEWARK. Situated in Nottinghamshire and described by the organisers as "the largest display of antiques and collectables in the world" and we expect they are right. With a claimed 4000 exhibitors this fair is so large that it is virtually impossible to see it all in one day. It goes on for ever!. Luckily it lasts for two days to give you a chance. There must be anything you want here if you can find it. People from all over the world come here. The first day is quite expensive but the second is reasonable . It is on a Monday and Tuesday

SWINDERBY. Another big fair . Held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Close to Newark and we think it is held on the weekend immediately before so you can have five days of hunting if you wish.

MALVERN. Situated at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, this is a smallish fair with a good variety of items. It's inside and therefore weather resistant and you might just find something here.

There are also Flea and Collectors fairs held at this location by the same organisers where there are some outside stalls. A happy hunting ground .

STAFFORD. There are two different organisers who hold fairs at the County Showground, Stafford. Both are medium size fairs held in different buildings on the site and we try not to miss them. They are both fairs where the quality and variety of offerings are good. One of them is a Bowman Antiques Fair which is usually a three day fair (Friday to Sunday). This fair has two large areas dedicated to furniture of good quality covering all price ranges. Worth a visit.

The other is West Midland Antique Fairs which is usually a two day event at the same site but in different buildings. There are two large halls filled with dealers selling a wide range of items from all periods.

DONNINGTON. Held at the Donnington Park Exhibition centre this antiques and collectors fair is a must. It is quite a large indoor venue with a wide variety of good quality collectables. You can pay extra to enter early which gives you first shot at the goodies. There is also a bric-a-brac type fair held at this venue and they also host other fairs - try the venue for information.
